• 500g Prawns (cleaned and Headless)
  • 1inch Golden Star Spices Stick Cinnamon
  • 4 Golden Star Spices Whole Cloves
  • 4 Golden Star Spices Cardamom Pods
  • 1 Cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 Tsp Garlic & Ginger Paste
  • 1 Tsp Golden Star Spices Chilli Powder
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • Half a Tsp Golden Star Spices Turmeric Powder
  • 2 Cups of Coconut Milk
  • 2 Tsp Ghee / Clarified Butter
  • Salt to taste


  • Smear the prawns with salt and wash well. Then apply some Turmeric Powder and keep aside for 5 minutes.
  • Heat half the Ghee/Clarified Butter in a pan and heat the Prawns for 2 minutes, then remove the prawns from the pan and keep aside.
  • Now add the Cloves, Cinnamon, Bay Leaves and Green Cardamom Pods and heat briefly. Add the finely chopped onions and stir, fry on low heat for about 1 minute or till onions are browned. Add the Chilli Powder and Garlic & Ginger Paste. Fry briefly until the oil evaporates. Add the Prawns and Coconut Milk and then add Salt to taste, Cook on medium heat for about 2 minutes the add the remaining Ghee/ Clarified Butter and cove tightly for a few minutes.
  • Serve with Rice.
